We are thrilled to be able to finally release our new reserve Sparkling wines. These comprise two wines; the 2021 Slow Wine Co Blanc de Noir and 2021 Slow Wine Co. Blanc de Blancs.
These are special wines that have been a long time in the making.
Orange is making some of the country’s best sparkling wines, so it was perfect timing to develop two of our own; the Blanc de Blancs is made from Chardonnay, while the Blanc de Noir is 100% Pinot Noir.
These are stylish wines ready to enjoy now, having been matured on their yeast lees in the traditional method for four years. These wines are available for tasting at the Cellar Door and online.

Slow Wine Co. Blanc de Blancs 2021
92 POINTS: “And now for something completely different. Sparkling wine from the orange region in NSW. A blanc de blancs – 100% Chardonnay – the fruit came from the Bantry Grove Vineyard which sits at an impressive 960 metres above sea level, which should ensure the climate is more than cool enough for quality fizz. The wine spent four years on lees prior to discouragement. Lemon/straw in colour, the wine opens with attractive toasty notes and hints of autolysis/yeast. We have notes of citrus, mandarins, hints of honeycomb and a touch of grapefruit. Richly flavoured, there is a fine line of acidity running the length. A lot to like here. Slow Wine Co. Blanc de Noir 2021
92 Points: “Also from the Bantry Grove Vineyard, the mirror image of its sibling, a Blanc de Noir – 100% Pinot Noir. The colour is reminiscent of old gold/bronze. On the nose we have notes of raspberries, red cherries, spices, apricot kernels, brioche and beeswax. There is a hint more length here but it still retains the attractive freshness. A very different flavour profile, naturally. It should drink beautifully for the next half dozen years. Preference between the two styles? Take your pick or toss a coin.” Winepilot, Ken Gargett
