It is multilayered, textural and savoury from the first pour. The fruit profile evolves and twirls on breathing, releasing a generosity of varietal characteristics of dark fruits, cherries, mixed herbs and wafts of tobacco It delivers depth and integration of flavours supported by subtle French oak (pencil shavings) texture and refreshing cool-climate acid framework. With already 3 years of development, this well massaged Pinot Noir from Winemaker Will Rikard-Bell, is very enjoyable now but will continue to please over the next few years.

So fresh and vibrant, this is great for the asking price. Red cherries, pomegranate and some earthiness, the energy entertains a party in your mouth. Dancy with a soft oak (10% new) influence and super fine tannins, I could get very comfortable with this. Drink to five years+

From Bantry Grove vineyard, which sits at 960m elevation. Destemmed into French oak (10% new). In a world where society is always in a hurry, Slow Wine Co's considered approach to maturation and evolution has to be commended. Pomegranate juice, rhubarb and black cherry skin. There is a rousing melange of dried herbs in this wine. Ripped thyme, marjoram and crushed rosemary with wet coffee grounds and cured meat notes. A wine of equal savoury elements and sappy red and black fruit.
89 POINTS, THE REAL REVIEW, HUON HOOKE
A lighter and more developed colour: medium-light brick-red with aromas of undergrowth and dried herbs, fresh-tilled earth and root vegetables. Lots of bunchy character...
    CANBERRA TIMES, RICK ALLEN
This is from Orange and is a bold, generous style of pinot - quite brassy in fact, but still, retaining that essential elegance and lightness of touch you’re looking for. Flavours kick off in the red cherry territory, with pomegranate and rhubarb alongside a decided herbal influence - thyme and rosemary. That mushroom and undergrowth complexity is there too. Good drinking.
