2019 Merlot

Orange, New South Wales

Vibrant dark colour with bright maroon hues. Incredibly fragrant nose. Smells like redskins! Roses and blueberries and chocolate. Oak plays a secondary role only. Firmer on the palate than the nose suggests. There’s good tannin structure – which bodes well for its longevity. Medium weighted fruit up front, followed by bright juicy acid, savouriness, tea-leaves, and charry oak. It feels shy right now but should open up with cellaring.
